NIIBAWI is an Indigenous-owned and controlled company based in Ottawa, providing professional security services and Indigenous advisory support to government, commercial and community organizations. We help clients protect people and property while creating opportunities for Indigenous participation in the security sector.
Our security services include uniformed security personnel, mobile patrols, alarm response, fire watch, remote surveillance monitoring, and security planning and consulting. Services are tailored to each client’s operating environment, with an emphasis on dependable delivery, clear communication and respect for the people and communities we serve.
Founded by Laura Gagnon and Robin St. Martin, NIIBAWI brings together Indigenous leadership and extensive security industry experience. Laura contributes expertise in communications, Indigenous engagement and cultural education. Robin brings more than three decades of experience building and leading security operations as the founder of Iron Horse Security. Together, they combine cultural understanding with practical operational knowledge.
NIIBAWI also offers Indigenous awareness and reconciliation training, sharing circles, facilitation and community engagement services. These services help organizations strengthen relationships, improve cultural understanding and translate commitments into practical action.
Our approach connects professional service delivery with a commitment to Indigenous employment, skills development and business participation. We build long-term client relationships through accountable leadership, responsive service and respect for Indigenous perspectives.
