CCIB to Host Indigenous Business Networking Event in Montréal Featuring Entrepreneur Stories, Indigenous Fashion and Book Signing
MONTRÉAL, QC – Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) will host its Tools for Indigenous Business (TIB) Indigenous Business Networking Event on Aug. 20 at BMO Financial Group’s head office in Montréal.
Attendees will hear from Indigenous entrepreneurs Cydney Mar, founder of Cydney Mar Wellness; Steve O’Bomsawin, CEO and president of Asban and a member of CCIB’s board of directors; and Thawennontie Thomas, president and co-founder of LaFlesche.
The event will also feature a book signing with Bernice Williams, founder of Intentional Connection and visionary behind HIVE Connections Publishing, celebrating With Grace and Grit: Indigenous Women in Business.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience Indigenous fashion through a showcase by Shane Kelsey, founder and creative director of the Indigenous luxury streetwear brand, Neechi By Nature.
The free event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. EDT at BMO Financial Group’s head office, located at 119 rue Saint-Jacques, 14th Floor, Montréal. The event will be held in English and is open to all.
