FMOS started where great teams are built at the rink. Long before there was a company name or business plan, there were families in the stands. Shay Laurent stood behind the bench as coach, instilling discipline, preparation, and accountability in young athletes. In the bleachers, Stan Laurent and Billy Beauchesne spoke game after game about family, industry, community, and what it truly takes to win the right way.
Those conversations built friendship. Friendship built trust. Trust built Fort McKay Oil Services Ltd.
Stan envisioned a company that would operate like a championship team clear roles, disciplined systems, relentless work ethic, and accountability to one another. Shay’s leadership made him the natural choice to serve as President, while Billy’s deep operational oilfield experience positioned him as Vice President.
