COVID-19 Indigenous Business Survey – Part IV

Phase II: Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs

Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB), along with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), is proud to release this report on the impact of COVID-19 on Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs. This is part of a series that takes a closer look at the different experiences of businesses during the pandemic, with the other report looking at First Nations, Métis, and Inuit businesses. Looking through a gender and identity lens will help us to better understand the needs of Indigenous businesses as Canada begins to enter a recovery period.

Data from CCAB’s COVID-19 Indigenous Business Survey Phase II was analyzed to produce this report on the experiences of Indigenous women-owned businesses. The online survey included 825 Indigenous business owners and professionals, collected between December 18, 2020 to February 1, 2021.
