About CLAW Environmental Services Inc.

Headquartered in the nation’s capital, CLAW Environmental Services Inc. is an Indigenous consulting firm specializing in the provision of environmental services of particular interest to Indigenous communities. CLAW stands for Clean Land Air and Water. Founded in 2004, CLAW was established for the provision of environmental services to all levels of government departments and to First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities.

CLAW holds First Nation values and concepts at its core. We respect the unique cultures and histories of Indigenous communities and employ Indigenous approaches in our work. CLAW actively seeks to recruit, train and hire an Indigenous workforce. With extensive experience working with Indigenous communities and government, and a strong team of Indigenous experts, CLAW provides a wide range of world class environmental services to meet the needs of our clients.

As the Founder of CLAW and a proud member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, Sam Damm is a dedicated entrepreneur and advocate for Indigenous economic empowerment. He has been instrumental in reshaping Indigenous procurement and fostering strategic partnerships that uplift Indigenous businesses. As a founding member of the Public Sector Aboriginal Business Association (PSABA), he has played a key role in advancing policies that drive economic reconciliation, including Set-Asides and procurement modernization. His thought leadership has led to speaking engagements at major conferences and direct contributions to parliamentary discussions on Indigenous procurement reform. His work continues to open doors for Indigenous businesses, ensuring that economic success aligns with cultural values and long-term growth.
