Indigenize Toys designs and deploys community-owned Indigenous language learning tools for children and families. Founded by Snuneymuxw member Jon Rabeneck, the company builds programmable audio devices and customizable flashcard kits that allow Nations to record, approve, and distribute their own language content without data extraction or third-party ownership.
The model is structured for safe, scalable deployment in homes, schools, and community programs. Nations retain control of language files, artwork, and content approval. Production includes audio preparation, card formatting, device programming, and quality control under a single accountable workflow.
Indigenize Toys is part of the MIT Solve 2025 cohort and is currently advancing pilot deployments with Nation-specific and generic configurations. The goal is to move language from recordings into children’s hands through durable, simple, and culturally grounded learning tools.
