Founded in 1928, GHD is a global, employee-owned professional services company rooted in community development. With a legacy of delivering infrastructure and environmental solutions that benefit people and places, GHD continues to prioritize partnerships that create lasting social impact.
GHD is committed to advancing reconciliation and Indigenous inclusion across its operations. Over the past 14 years, GHD has collaborated with more than 100 Indigenous communities across Canada on projects in water and wastewater treatment, solid waste, renewable energy, and environmental remediation.
GHD actively partners with Indigenous-owned businesses and supports Indigenous economic development through supplier diversity and targeted procurement. GHD also offers a paid internship program for Indigenous post-secondary students in engineering and science, with several interns transitioning into full-time roles. Through the GHD Foundation, we provide financial support to Indigenous post-secondary students.
GHD fosters a culture of equity through mentorship and inclusion programs that support Indigenous employees and underrepresented groups. Guided by respect and collaboration, GHD is honoured to walk alongside Indigenous communities—listening, learning, and acting to build a more inclusive and sustainable future.
