A proud Indigenous company based in Mashteuiatsh, FORESTERIE MINAIK Inc. will soon celebrate its 20th anniversary! Founded in 2006 by Ricardo Arias, this Innu company has specialized in forestry operations and training forestry workers since its inception. In 2025, the company underwent a transformation with the arrival of new shareholders and the implementation of a new Forestry Consulting Service, offering technical services, management, supervision, execution, administration, and geomatics. This new range of services makes FORESTERIE MINAIK Inc. a key player in the forest road construction and silvicultural work sector in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. “MINAIK” in the Nehlueun language means “white spruce” an emblematic species of our coniferous forests that serves as a reminder of our authenticity and versatility.
