AJM Studio is a contemporary Indigenous design studio specializing in sculptural furniture, feature pieces, and contract furnishings that merge cultural storytelling with functional design. Founded in 2019 and based in Niagara, Ontario, the studio has evolved from a part-time practice into a
full-time venture responding to a visible market gap: the lack of contemporary Indigenous design in Canada’s built environment. With roots in both fine art and technical construction, founder Ashley J. MacDonald brings over a decade of hands-on experience across trades, industrial design, and public art, positioning AJM Studio to serve as both a creative and technical leader in the field.
