Eight Indigenous women-owned businesses provided grants through CCIB’s Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship Fund
October 23, 2025, Toronto, ON — From bouncy castles to consulting businesses, Indigenous women entrepreneurs continue to demonstrate innovation and business acumen. Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) is proud to announce the latest recipients of the Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship Fund (IWEF), presented by LNG Canada.
Through the grant, eight Indigenous women-owned businesses will each receive $2,500 to support their business growth and development.
“We’re incredibly proud to offer this funding for the sixth consecutive year,” said Philip Ducharme, CCIB’s VP of Entrepreneurship & Procurement. “What began as a response to the challenges of COVID-19 has grown into a lasting initiative that continues to empower Indigenous women entrepreneurs across the country. We are grateful to LNG Canada for their continued support over the years.”
Grant recipients were selected through a lottery system during a live draw hosted by CCIB. In addition to the $2,500 grant, each entrepreneur will receive a one-year CCIB membership, providing access to business development tools, resources, and a national network.
“LNG Canada is a proud partner of the CCIB, and IWEF is one of the many important elements of our partnership,” said Hope Regimbald, Asset Corporate Relations Manager of LNG Canada. “When we support our women, we support community building and healing at the foundations of our society. IWEF is a small, impactful way of building the Canada we want to see, and we’re proud to do it. I would add a call to other corporate players — join us in supporting this worthy initiative”.
