Zagime Management Authority Limited (ZMAL) is the economic development and management entity for Zagime Anishinabek, created to oversee and grow a diverse portfolio of businesses for the long-term benefit of the Nation and its members. Founded in 2016 as a limited partnership structure, ZMAL acts as the general partner, providing centralized governance, strategic direction, and professional management for multiple operating subsidiaries across retail, food service, land development, and related sectors. From its base in Regina, Saskatchewan, ZMAL focuses on creating sustainable revenue, quality employment, and partnership opportunities through urban and on-reserve projects, including commercial, industrial, and land leasing initiatives on Zagime Anishinabek lands. Guided by Indigenous values and a mandate to strengthen community self-determination, ZMAL actively pursues new ventures, joint partnerships, and development projects that align with the Nation’s economic, social, and cultural priorities.
