Who We Are
Bear Standing Tall Digital was co-founded by Jason Carter (Bear Standing Tall), a Knowledge Facilitator, software developer, and social entrepreneur from Onion Lake Cree Nation, Treaty 6 Territory, and Pamela Carter, a strong First Nations woman with lived experience navigating Indigenous identity, family resilience, and community empowerment.
Together, we are a family-led, woman-led business based in Oshawa, Ontario. Our work is deeply rooted in traditional Indigenous knowledge, community healing, and the vision of creating a better world for the next seven generations.
Jason brings over a decade of experience in Indigenous education, cultural training, and executive-level consulting. He’s reached more than 100,000 learners across Canada and is the author of How to Ally with Indigenous Communities and the Meaningful Economic Reconciliation Toolkit for Financial Institutions. Pamela oversees operations and client relations and ensures every engagement is grounded in respect, humility, and authenticity.

Our Mission
We exist to help Canadian businesses go beyond performative gestures and take bold, tangible steps toward economic reconciliation. We help organizations of all sizes—especially financial institutions, multinationals, government agencies, and progressive SMEs—build stronger, more respectful relationships with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.
If you’re working toward CCIB’s PAIR Certification, aligning with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), or developing Indigenous procurement and hiring strategies—we can help.

Buy Canadian. Buy Indigenous. Lead Reconciliation.
We invite all Canadian organizations to invest in reconciliation, not just as a social obligation—but as a business strategy grounded in justice, equity, and opportunity.
