Matt Neveu is the Vice President of Indigenous Banking for Ontario at BMO Bank of Montreal, where he leads strategic initiatives that advance economic opportunity, financial sovereignty, and long‑term prosperity for Indigenous communities across the province. A proud member of Batchewana First Nation, Matt is deeply committed to strengthening Indigenous economic development through culturally grounded and relationship-centered banking solutions.
At BMO, Matt supports First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, leaders, and entrepreneurs as they pursue nation‑building, infrastructure investment, business expansion, and community empowerment. He is widely recognized for his ability to bridge banking expertise with Indigenous values, governance structures, and community priorities, ensuring BMO’s approach reflects respect, partnership, and true reconciliation.
Before stepping into his provincial leadership role at BMO Bank of Montreal, Matt built a strong foundation in corporate finance, serving as a Senior Director where he led complex financing initiatives, structured large-scale transactions, and supported organizations through periods of growth and transformation.
