Grow with Google Scholarships for Indigenous Businesses
Grow with Google is an initiative that draws on Google’s 20-year history of building products, platforms, and services that help people and businesses grow.
Through Grow with Google, we aim to help everyone across Canada – those who make up the workforce of today and the students who will drive the workforce of tomorrow – access the best of Google’s training and tools to grow their skills, careers, and businesses.
Google launched their newest Grow with Google program in Canada, the Google AI Professional Certificate. Designed to move people beyond basic literacy to AI fluency, this certificate focuses on applied AI skills for work—teaching Canadians how to master AI tools to solve real-world problems through 20+ hands-on activities taught by Google experts.
For learners that enroll in the course, they will also get three months of no-cost access to Google AI Pro, giving learners immediate access to Google’s most capable AI tools

About Scholarship Program
In partnership with Google, CCIB is proud to offer up to 500 scholarships to support Indigenous businesses and youth in developing in-demand digital and AI skills. This initiative is designed to equip participants with practical tools to grow their businesses, improve productivity, and succeed in an increasingly digital economy.
Powered by Google’s Grow with Google and Coursera platform, this program provides flexible, self-paced online training that can be completed from anywhere. Participants will gain access to industry-recognized learning designed to help them solve real business challenges, streamline operations, and unlock new opportunities for growth using artificial intelligence.
Recommendation and Eligibility
While the scholarship is open to eligible Indigenous entrepreneurs and youth, CCIB members will receive priority consideration. All participants who meet eligibility requirements and submit the necessary documentation will have up to four months to complete their chosen certification. CCIB members may request an extension of up to six months, if needed. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an official Google certification to strengthen their professional credentials.
The program includes access to a wide range of Google certifications, including the highly recommended AI Professional Certificate. This advanced program goes beyond foundational knowledge, offering hands-on learning and real-world applications that help participants build job-ready skills, create a portfolio, and confidently apply AI in their work or business.
