
Announcing the 2025/2026 EY & CCIB Indigenous Entrepreneur Pitch Program Award recipients
The Indigenous suppliers pitch competition is a joint effort between Canadian Council for Indigenous Businesses (CCIB) and EY. Through the simulation in a safe environment of a pitch to a potential client, the program aims to support high-growth-potential Indigenous entrepreneurs in crafting and crystallizing their storytelling around their business’s unique value to answer specific customer needs.

CCIB is pleased to announce the following 2025/2026 EY & CCIB Indigenous Entrepreneur Pitch Competition Award recipients, recognizing these outstanding Indigenous entrepreneurs for their innovation, leadership and impact.
Ashley Michel of 4 Generations Creations is the recipient of the Perfect Pitch Excellence Award, honouring an entrepreneur who delivers the most compelling, clear and persuasive pitch. Demonstrating exceptional communication, creativity, and the ability to effectively convey her business’s value, market potential, and impact within a limited time. Ashley set a high standard for excellence in business storytelling and strategic presentation, leaving a lasting impression on EY judges. She also received the Grand Prize of the Tuck School of Business Scholarship for the Diverse Business Program.
Brenda Dragon of Aurora Heat is the recipient of the Social Impact and Sustainability Leadership Award, recognizing a business that demonstrates a strong commitment to creating sustainable products while creating meaningful, positive impact in their communities. Through her leadership, Brenda exemplifies leadership in balancing economic success with ethical practices, showing how business can be a powerful force for good. She inspires others by championing sustainable development, fostering community well-being, and advancing inclusive growth.
Honourable mentions go to Sharifah Marsden of Red Thunderbird Designs and Silver Feather, and Richard Mclean of Bearclaw Industries.
